Ben O’Brien is a Sydney based writer and producer. He's worked across a range of mediums, including stage, radio, television and online. He’s written and directed several plays, including the sell out show ‘Cabinet Fever’ (2011). Ben has also written for SBS Comedy, A Rational Fear (featured on FBi Radio & Radio National), and as the head writer, producer and co-host of ‘Bonus Stage’, a live gaming talk show at Sydney’s Giant Dwarf Theatre.

 

As a freelance writer and producer, Ben has worked on large scale, live-streamed events such as PAX Australia and Oz Comic-Con, and as a writer/field producer on ABC's Good Game Spawn Point. Ben also spent 3 years producing and presenting community radio at 2RRR 88.5FM, and comedy shorts for YouTube, several of which have featured on Junkee and Kotaku.

More recently, Ben has been working as a freelancer copywriter for Spotify, including over 150 scripted radio ads. Ben also drafts and writes Video Game trailers for VFX and Animation Studio, Plastic Wax.
